Dismayed Brereton plan was approved

Dear Sir,

I am dismayed that the planning application for 190 homes off London Road in Brereton Parish, just south of Holmes Chapel has been allowed at appeal.

This is in face of a completed Neighbourhood Plan supported by 96% of those voting by referendum

The decision is therefore in complete opposition to the wish of the local residents and flies in the face of local determinism.

It shows also the challenges of proposed developments just outside the area in which the infrastructure implications will be largely impacted.

This result is a direct result of the lack of clarity in this Conservative Government's legislation regarding planning proposals.

The area is a minefield of conflicting regulations and case law, allowing those with the most resources to win the day.
