Mr Silvester denying common humanity
Dear Sir,
I feel I must respond to Clr Brian Silvester's letter in 5th July issue of The Chronicle, p 16 in which he states his view that EU citizens the Uk should not receive benefits.
It is incredible in my view that such a view can be entertained even by one of UKIP's most passionate supporters.
Is he denying the common humanity that includes all the members of this human race of ours?
What is he suggesting happens to those from the continent who fall into adverse conditions through no fault of their own?
I am astounded that in this day and age, someone can be publicly expressing such a view.
It is up to him to respond to these remarks and persuade me that he believes in treating all living beings with common standards of respect and decency.
