Unfolding debate on eu referendum

Dear Sir,

It seems to me that in the unfolding debate as we progress towards the eu referendum, one question should be at the forefront of our minds.

That is what sort of country do we want ourselves and our children to live in?

Is it one that looks outwards and contributes to the world and the solutions to the many challenges it faces?

Or is it one that looks after itself and ignores the events outside its immediate environment as much as possible?

One is short- sighted while the other looks to the long-term.

One is based on reality while the other dreams of a world that never really existed.
